The Small Stones Festival of the Arts presented an evening of music and dance featuring Din Check, New England’s premier Bollywood Band at the Great Hall at Apple Tree Arts.
Before Din Check took the stage, Priya Asthana, of the Center for Arts and Wellness of Westborough led a Bollywood dance workshop from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
The $30 admission included the Bollywood dance workshop, concert and delicious appetizers. Cash or credit bar with beer, wine and soft drinks were available. Henna tattoo designs were purchasable, too.
The 2019 Small Stones Festival of the Arts ran Nov. 8-16 at the Great Hall, One Grafton Common. Apple Tree Arts, The Worcester County Camera Club and the Blackstone Valley Art Association collaborated to create the second annual juried exhibit of fine art painting and fine art photography with an expanded music program. The opening reception was held Nov. 8, 7:00-9:30 p.m.
The 2019 Festival’s prize-winning fine artwork and photography was on display during the Night of Bollywood.
Din Check’s performance featured special guest artists Juhi Lalwani (vocals) and Vinphin Kundukulam (drums). Din Check performers included Sam Bhambhani (guitar), Jolly Bhatia (vocals), Mike Grover (bass), Meenakshi Kulshreshtha (vocals and keys), and Anandini Sekhar (keys and vocals).
